Abstract: Much of the difficulty in understanding CO2 flux from urban vegetation is separating out the release of CO2 from biological processes such as respiration and decomposition from CO2 emissions generated from human activities and fossil fuel use. This research demonstrates the information needed to separate out the biological signal using urban to rural gradients and direct and indirect methods of monitoring carbona ceous gases.
