ORS Metadata System

The Baltimore Ecosystem Study stores its metadata using the Open Research Metadata Research System http://orsintranet.fnr.umass.edu/group/bes/. The Open Research System allows one to submit research data and metadata so colleagues can access it. By using a unified compendium of data, researchers can then answer larger questions and discover new trends and relationships that would not be evident from single sources of data.
